Serrans are lay Catholics – men and women of all ages and from all walks of life dedicated to promote and foster vocations.
The objectives of Serra are:
To foster and promote vocations to the ministerial priesthood in the Catholic Church, as a particular vocation to service and to support priests in their sacred ministry;
Also, to encourage and affirm vocations to consecrated religious life in the Catholic Church;
Finally, to assist members to recognize and respond in their own lives, to God’s call to holiness in Jesus Christ and through the Holy Spirit.
Saint Junipero Serra
Our patron saint is Franciscan Missionary, Junipero Serra. Serra was the founder of many California missions and is the patron saint of vocations. He was canonized by Pope Francis on September 23, 2015 at the Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington D.C.
